The property is called “Torre del Sol del Riu del Rey” and among other features includes 3 beaches and 13 small houses to renovate on the property. ~In the centre of the property there is a historical Arab style castle which dates from the end of the 8th century, built on top of some older Roman ruins and there are maps from the 13th century where the Tower is indicated as a fortress and watch tower. ~As an oral tradition it´s said that the Emir Abderraman I camped with his troops at the castle in the year 770 when he came from Valencia and went to Saragusa (Zaragoza) to fight against his enemy Sulayman al Arabi, who was the governor. ~In 1522 the famous King Carlos I of Spain and V of the holy Roman Empire donated this castle and all surrounding land to Loduvicus Sunyer who also received a knighthood, for his service to his majesty. ~Since then the Castle has belonged to the same family for the last 500 years.
